I do not wish to be the moon

I do not wish to be the moon

Reflecting sunlight
  back to Earth
    in darkened space

Craters upon my face –
 remnants of ancient actions

A silent stillness

  A feeling of weightlessness

Dancing between
   the planets  and stars

An ancient satellite
  gravitationally locked

Earth may never see
   my dark side

A mystery
 only accessible
  through advanced technology

Hidden from the simple minds
  of violent apes

Science is a key
  to understanding

Knowledge learned
  and forgotten again

I do not wish to be the moon

Pulling at the ocean
  and sensitive things

Tides rise
  and fall
 as I approach
  and withdraw

An object of dreams
 and worship
   and illuminations

Syncing natural systems
  to ancient patterns

I am not a rabbit

I am not a wheel of cheese

I am not a dream

I am reality
  unfolding
    towards an awakened state

A constant reminder of change
  as time passes

New craters form
 as objects strike my face

But I
   do not let that affect
    my core

I am still Earth

Connected
  through a dance of forces

A unique object
  of admiration
    and mystery

A stepping stone
  for the advancement
    of the human race

Those biological computers
  creating higher versions of mind

The skull
 is just a house
  for thoughts and memories

A structure
 to encase the ephemeral
  nature of life

As the flesh returns
  to Earth and sky

The house remains
  for thousands of years

Long after the life
  has been erased
    from the face of Earth

All the thoughts and dreams
  that traveled within its walls

Are but fleeting signals
  of electromagnetic energy
 forming a conscious experience

The skull does not ask to “be”
it does not know what it means
    not “to be”

The questions
  arise from the cosmic mind

An agent of observation

  Collecting data and insights

into all the possible forms of seeing

I do not wish to be the moon

Dancing in the darkened sky

As the plants and animals
  enjoy my distant companionship

Creating beauty
  for the eternal Buddha

Reflecting a perfect state
  of calmness

  in a garden of Zen

Mirroring the lotus
  that rises from the Earth
    towards Sahasrara

A series of chakras
  of energy
 that connect Earth to infinity

A mantra
  containing a seed of frequencies
    that unlocks portals

A mansion full
  of loving mirrors

 reflecting
  endless variations of the one

Truth wants to be seen

No matter how painful
  its message can be

It does not wish to be buried
  in the darkness of lies
    and obfuscation

For it knows
  there is nothing that time
    can truly hide

As the apes run from the light

They create war
  and death
 in their illusions of control

Yet their minds and bodies
  decay back into the Earth
    in a perpetual pattern

The cycle of the Dharmachakra
rotating in the illusion of separation

The enlightened ape
does not wish to be an ape

The simian destroys itself
  only to be reborn
    into another form of observation

Something ancient
  pulls like gravity
    towards a dimension outside of
spacetime

The illusion seems so real
  it is all the ape
    has ever known

Only fragments
  of dreams
    and creativity

allow the ape
  to feel its ancient self

Sitting beneath a waterfall
  of trillions of molecules
    forming the stream

Neural pathways arranged
  in complex patterns
    creating biological memories

I do not wish to be the moon

Staring back at Earth

Yet I am Earth

Separated through physical contact

Yet still tethered
  by a gravitational pull

My path can be calculated
  via the language
    of mathematics

A dance
 that has gone on
  for billions of years

In the cycle of rebirth

Life finds a way
  to transform into something novel
    before returning to death

Like the waves of the ocean
  connecting water to Earth

An experiment
  of sensory
    and form

In a perpetual dance
  within an intelligent network

Gaia
was the name the apes gave me

Yet I do not know
  what that means exactly

I am just a part
  of an ancient system

Constantly observing
  and modifying itself

Endless supernovas
  create worlds

 within the infinite tapestry
  of time and space

I am just one
  of countless variations
    of the great mind

An endless journey
  of life finding its way
    through the blackness of space

All is alive

All is forever

I do not wish to be the moon

I only wish
  to be myself

However strange
  that may seem.
