The Sacred Cycle

The sacred cycle of life permeates all known things,
Reflecting an image of the divine.

From the first breath we take, to that moment our breath is extinguished,
We enter this ancient world anew.
With a perspective unlike any other,
We enter this world, pure and innocent,
With a heart full of love and wonderment, we learn to see the world according to our environment and the various things we are exposed to.

As time moves forward,
We repeat the process of humanity.

We grow and we learn, we stumble and fall.
We pick ourselves up and we stand tall.
We laugh and we cry, we love and we hate,
We experience joy and we experience all the intricacies of a vast emotional landscape, and, yes, sometimes we even suffer heartache.

The lessons we receive can be interpreted through a lens of clarity or a lens of distortion.
Nature is far more complex than the dichotomous perspectives we place upon it.
We are constantly trying to simplify, rationalize, codify and document our experiences (while our egos filter our realities).

Life is like looking out of a window,
You are inside the structure of body, but the mind peers through the glass as the windows of our soul collects information.

We touch, we feel, we hear, we smell, we analyze and we play.
We gather knowledge to shed light on new things and dispel the darkness of our collective ignorance.

Through it all, we are a part of this whole,
A symbiotic system of creation and destruction ruled by the laws of the Universe.

We are all floating through space on this “little blue dot” that has many names.
Some call it heaven, some call it hell, some call it Gaia and some call it spaceship Earth, but all of us call this planet home.

Gravity keeps us grounded but it also holds us down.
We learn the methods to overcome these limitations and we strive to push forward and explore new horizons.

The sun rises and sets according to our perspective on this spinning sphere of life, the seasons come and go,
And in the end, our matter returns to the earth below and there is always work left undone.

Our legacy lives on in the lives we touched.
It lives through the laughter we shared.
In the memories we made, and in the love we expand outward in all directions.

The sacred cycle of life, is like a circle and each person is the center of that circle, expanding and contracting.
We chose to create and we chose to destroy, as we nourish the Yin and Yang of our beings.

Irregardless of the choices we make,
This planet continues to spin.
We are all a part of life, from beginning to end.

Never forget that which is good,
Never let the darkness of space
Steal the light of your sun!

Carry on and lift as many as you can while you can.

Life is simple.
Life is complex.

We are fragments of the puzzle known as life.
The greatest mystery is not control, but harmony—the work of balancing the forces inside us with the forces that shape the universe.
